Today we have a classic Lebanese recipe that has been used for generations on end; Traditional Salaata Dressing! It's easy and quick to make and absolutely delicious.
Feel free to add what you prefer in the actual salad itself (I.e; peppers, za'atar, carrots), just make sure what you add fits into the flavor profile of the dressing itself (Garlic/Vinaigrette)
Total Preparation Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Serves: 6
Ingredient list:
A handful of mixed herbs (Oregano, Basil, Mint, and Diced Italian Parsley)
1 Teaspoon of Himalayan salt
1 Teaspoon of Dijon mustard
3 oz Apple Cider Vinegar
4 oz Cup of Olive oil
2 oz of Eezo’s Garlic Paste
2 Large Tomatoes
2 Baby Cucumbers
2 Whole Romaine lettuce or 1 Spring mix pack (Half a Pound)
Special tools: Mortar and Pestle
Instructions: Prepare your dressing by filling the mortar & pestle with your mixed herbs and Himalayan salt, grind until very fine. (If you don’t have a mortar & pestle, chop the herbs fine and add salt in a bowl.) Now add the Dijon mustard, Eezo's Garlic Paste, and apple cider vinegar to the mortar and stir. Finally, add the olive oil and mix all together.
Set dressing aside in the fridge (can last a day refrigerated). Now chop all the tomatoes and cucumbers and add any more veggies if desired (fruit not recommended). Set all veggies in a bowl and add the lettuce. Immediately grab the dressing and evenly pour on the salad. Mix and enjoy!
